| DESCRIPTION: Eli Whitney Design is a little over one year old. Before entering into the design/build phase of his career, owner Steven Whitney spent 10 years at Elektra Records (division of Time Warner) heading up the International Publicity department. It was here that Steven worked very closely with managers, agents, scenic crews, lighting companies, promotoers, musicians, lighting specilists, photographers, journalists etc. Steven has been sewing and designing clothing all his life. He also is an avid outdoorsman holding degrees in Forest Biology and Genetics. His company has done an incredible amount of work within its first year and has found a niche with many of his clients functioning as an extension of their art department overseein the final production of their ideas/concepts. His company builds specially commisioned projects from wood, plastic, frabrics, metals, foams etc, making props, sets, retail displays and basically anything else imagainable. He has done set design for Cher, Bette Midler, Lionel Richie, Gloria Estephan more as well as working with DKNY, OLDNAVY, RKI and many more. |
