What I did? I was Director of Photography so that means developing the “look” of film together with Director, Production Designer. Leading and coordinating the work of the camera and lighting team. Working as part of the camera crew in studios, and on location, operating various types of camera equipment. Supervising make-up, set building, special CGI effects. I was lighting a scene, developing the lighting design and moods and atmospheres, define camera positions and movements, directing movement of steadicam and crane, and define use of special equipment. Aware of spending, choosing gear, planning shooting, supervising post-production, discuss special effects, coordinating burning, coloring and developing of film stock.

Choking Hazard, 2004

This was my first feature film, as Director of Photography. Prior shooting I was testing new HD system that was for first time used in Czech Republic. I cooperate on building post-pro studio for finishing this film. I worked on atmosphere, storyboard, design, story line and other creative things with director. I lead team of people on shooting as grip, lighting, and camera crew. I was shooting and creating shoots on High-Speed Digital Camera (up to 100 000 fps). I though up SFX, CGI effects, color impression, camera movement, lighting, light design. I operated camera in few complicated shots and directed movement of steadicam or crane. Supervising second unit. I was finishing composition on Final Cut Pro HD with color corrections, later on Discreet Luster 2.0 grading system. Supervising burning by CRT, checking dailies and preparing premiere or distribution copies in laboratories with color timing.
