| DESCRIPTION: RAFilms is based in California and Japan. We spend most of our time now in California and about 4 months a year at our Japan facility. We shoot in Beta SP with Sony Camera, and in Mini DV with JVC GY 5001U. My Wife Kinuye "Kiki" is production coordinator and still photographer and shoots with Nikon SLR digital format. We are members of NPPA. I completed 2 plus years with AFI in their professional classes and directors workshops between 1998 and 2002. We can shoot video, stills coordinate smaller video projects while we are in between our own schedules. We shoot primarily Documentaries but I have directed dramatic shorts. I am retired cop and my first Doc was California Street Gangs Titled "Welcome to our Hood" See New York Int. Indie Film video Festival 2002. Check our website RAFilms.org which should be up and available by April 2006. Our Japan facility is located on Okinawa and we travel all over Asia. Japanese is spoken as well as German and English, some French. We have our own Lighting equipment and some grip equipment. We are available also to the individual who wants to shoot his own movie but lacks the equiopment or expertise.. |
